Job summary

Aramark Nexus is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across a large-scale 24/7 residential and hospitality operation near Hereford, Texas. You will drive risk identification, training, inspections, incident investigations, and emergency readiness to protect employees and residents.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in EH&S or related field and at least 3 years in safety, with preference for those experienced in large complex operations and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Public Health, Industrial Safety, or related field.
• Requires at least 3 years of experience in occupational safety, environmental health and safety, risk management, or a related safety function.
• Previous experience as Safety Manager, EHS Manager, HSE Manager, Occupational Safety Manager, Risk Manager, or similar safety professional preferred.
• Strong knowledge of incident investigations, corrective actions, workers' compensation, safety audits, and injury prevention.
• Experience supporting a large, complex, 24/7 operation preferred.
• Experience coordinating third-party vendors, medical providers, or other external safety partners preferred.
• Working knowledge of occupational safety, environmental health, and food safety requirements.
• ServSafe certification preferred or ability to obtain; OSHA-related certification/training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement safety programs across a large-scale 24/7 residential and hospitality operation.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and field observations across housing, dining, facilities, transportation, and common areas.
• Train and coach managers and employees on safety procedures, hazard recognition, incident prevention, and emergency response.
• Lead incident and injury investigations, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and monitor injury trends.
• Coordinate workers' compensation processes with HR, claims administrators, medical providers, and leadership.
• Serve as liaison with onsite or third-party medical providers, including injury response and return-to-work coordination.
• Prepare for and support internal, external, client, and regulatory safety audits and inspections; ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Maintain safety documentation, training records, incident reports, corrective action records, and compliance docs.
• Partner with Facilities, Security, Operations, and medical providers on emergency preparedness and drills.
• Support food safety, environmental compliance, and occupational safety requirements.
• Lead safety meetings, new hire orientation, ongoing training, and cross-functional safety communication.
• Be a visible safety leader; build relationships, influence behavior, and promote accountability.
