Job summary

NetJets seeks a Safety Investigator to support the Safety Investigations Manager in executing the Safety Program. The role involves conducting investigations of incidents, hazards, and accidents, and supporting SRM with collaboration across departments and third parties.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Aviation Management or Business Administration, and FAA Commercial Instrument certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or Business Administration.
2–4 years of experience in aviation safety or investigations.
Familiarity with Safety Risk Management (SRM) concepts and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and document investigations clearly.

Responsibilities

Conduct safety investigations of incidents, irregular events, and hazards with guidance from senior staff; may be remote or on site.
Travel as needed to support safety investigations.
Collect, analyze, and document investigative data with timely, accurate reporting.
Participate in SRM process including hazard identification and risk analysis.
Collaborate with departments and third-party providers to gather information and ensure standardized safety practices.
Contribute to development and implementation of safety enhancements and risk mitigation strategies.
Support safety training, meetings, and communications.

Purpose of Position

The Safety Investigator supports the Safety Investigations Manager in executing the comprehensive NetJets Safety Program by conducting thorough investigations of safety events, incidents, accidents, and identified hazards. This role actively participates in the Safety Risk Management (SRM) process, collaborating with operational departments and third‑party providers to identify hazards, analyze contributing factors, and support the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective safety risk controls.

Tasks And Responsibilities

Conduct safety investigations of incidents, irregular events, and hazards with guidance from senior Safety Investigators or the Safety Investigations Manager; investigations may be performed remotely or on site
Ability to travel as needed with little to no notice to support safety investigations
Collect, analyze, and document investigative data, including reports, evidence, and contributing factors, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
Participate in the Safety Risk Management (SRM) process, including hazard identification, safety risk analysis, and documentation of safety risk controls
Collaborate with operational departments and third‑party providers to gather information, clarify operational processes, and support standardized safety practices
Contribute to the development and implementation of safety enhancements and risk mitigation strategies
Support the development and delivery of safety training, safety meetings, and safety communications
Maintain a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling sensitive safety and operational information
