Job summary

Westlake Chemical invites ambitious students to join its Summer 2027 Safety Internship in Kentucky. You will work under a mentor, support safety and environmental programs, and gain real-world plant experience.

The program seeks active undergraduates majoring in Health, Safety & Environmental with a 3.0+ GPA, who are eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Mentorship and growth are core to this internship.

Qualifications

• Must have completed first year of college.
• Must be an active student.
• Must be majoring in Health, Safety & Environmental.
• Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects with the close supervision of mentor/supervisor.
• Observe activities of the assigned department/unit.
• Assist mentor/supervisor in day‑to‑day tasks.
• Actively participate in complex safety/environmental programs.
• Maintain intern work/activity journal.
• Presentation to management team.

SUMMER 2027 Safety Internship

The Internship is designed to provide the safety/environmental student a real‑life work experience and training the day-to-day activities of plant manufacturing.
