You will safely operate heavy off‑road haul trucks, moving rock and overburden from the pit to the crusher or stockpile areas, and assist with basic maintenance between breaks. This role requires high focus, strict MSHA compliance, and teamwork with loaders and maintenance staff to keep production steady.

Competenze

• Education: high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: 0–1 year preferred; 6 months to 1 year is a plus.
• Safety: MSHA regulations compliance.

Mansioni

• Safely operate off-highway haul trucks to transport rock from the pit to the crusher or designated stockpile areas.
• Position the truck under loaders for filling and back into tight tipping areas or hoppers for unloading.
• Support loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles as required by the site supervisor.
• Operate secondary equipment as needed, such as pit/yard loaders or street sweepers to maintain site cleanliness.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections on haul trucks and related equipment.
• Follow all Martin Marietta safety guidelines and MSHA regulations to ensure a zero-incident work environment.
• Identify and report any mechanical malfunctions, defects, or site hazards to the supervisor.
• Perform minor maintenance and basic repairs, such as checking fluids, greasing components, and cleaning filters.
• Maintain truck cab/exterior cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Aid the maintenance crew with larger plant repairs or quarry-wide projects during downtime.
• Coordinate with loader operators and plant personnel via two-way radio to ensure efficient cycle times and material flow.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of loads hauled, engine hours, and inspection results.
