Job summary

Roadway Moving is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver for its Long Island City warehouse. The role involves operating forklifts to move goods, inspecting shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records in a safety‑conscious environment.

Location is on-site in Long Island City, NY with a schedule Monday–Friday and overtime as required. Compensation ranges per hour with NY state labor law compliance.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification is required.
• Experience in the moving industry is preferred.
• Experience with wooden vaults is a plus.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Viele Ave, Bronx, NY 10474.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load and offload household goods cargo from trucks and trailers into and out of the warehouse.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure shipments are protected according to company standards.
• Use the warehouse scanning system to scan items into and out of storage.
• Experience with stacking and handling cargo in wooden vaults.
• Maintain accurate inventory logs and management records.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including daily warehouse cleaning.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
• Any other related duties as assigned.
