Guy F. Atkinson Construction, LLC is looking for a qualified Safety Engineer to ensure the safety of employees and the public at project sites. The role involves developing, coordinating, and implementing safety programs, enforcing health standards, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of construction safety experience, a relevant degree, and will effectively communicate safety practices. Benefits include a competitive salary range of $80,000–$110,000 and various health and wellness programs.
The Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safety of employees, subcontractors, and the general public on project sites. The role enforces Atkinson’s Safety and Health Policy, local and federal safety standards, conducts safety training, and collaborates with project supervisors to develop safe work plans for all phases and tasks.
This is an active, hands‑on role. You will be on your feet frequently, navigating uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The job requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You may lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. The role includes desk time for tasks such as computer work, document review, and meetings.
You'll spend significant time on active construction sites, adapting to varying weather, moderate to loud noise levels, and confined or elevated work areas with moving mechanical equipment. Occasional office time may involve moderate noise levels.

Base salary range: $80,000–$110,000. Bonus potential.
