Clark Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to safeguard the health of thousands of workers across our projects. You will work with senior leaders to implement safety policies, manage site risk, and advance Clark’s Culture of Care on every jobsite.

Responsibilities include administering Clark’s Safety, Health, and Environmental program, enforcing safety standards, developing project-specific safety plans, identifying hazards, and coordinating third-party reviews.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) or a master's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 trained, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Clark’s Safety, Health, and Environmental program administration to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Enforce safety programs and standards at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Develop and implement project-specific safety programs.
  • Identify hazards and advise on mitigation to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct site walks and report safety performance and future plans.
  • Coordinate third‑party safety reviews (OSHA).
  • Work closely with field supervision to plan complex safety aspects of projects, including lifts, hazardous materials handling, fire prevention, and evacuation.

Job description

As a Safety Coordinator, you play a vital role in safeguarding the health and well-being of thousands of craft workers and project team members across our jobsites each day. Embedded within general construction operations or one of our specialized affiliate companies, you will work alongside senior leaders to execute safety policies, manage jobsite risk, and actively drive Clark’s "Culture of Care." Responsibilities Implementing safe working practices and ensuring the well-being of everyone is a core value of Clark. Safety coordinators are responsible for assisting in the administration of Clark’s Safety, Health, and Environmental program to ensure a safe and healthy environment for Clark employees, trade contractors, and the surrounding community. Enforcing corporate and project-specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state, and local safety standards Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and educating to Clark employees and trade contractors on occupation health and safety requirements Develop and implement project-specific safety program Identify potential hazards and provide immediate input, advice, and direction to mitigate hazardous conditions and assure compliance Conduct site-walks and report project-specific safety performance and future plans Working closely with field supervision to plan complex safety aspects of the project construction, including critical lifts, hazardous material handling, fire prevention, and evacuation Coordinating third-party safety reviews, including OSHA Basic Qualifications

Physical Side of the Role:

This is an active, hands‑on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You’ll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work. The role does include desk time in the office that may require prolonged periods of sitting for tasks like computer work, document review, and meetings.

Your Work Environment:

You’ll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast‑paced nature of a project in progress. You will also spend time in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels. Your safety is our top priority, and you'll be expected to follow Clark Construction's safety policies and procedures, and all applicable laws, at all locations.
