Job summary

Equitas Academy is seeking a part-time Safety Coordinator to supervise students during meals, dismissal, and transitions, and to support meals service, parent communications, valet operations, and after-school traffic supervision. The role includes collaborating with the School Operations Manager and ELOP Manager on special projects.

The position runs 2:00pm–6:00pm, Monday through Friday, pays starting at $22/hour, and requires bilingual Spanish skills along with CPR/First Aid certifications

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with students preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish speaker required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; BA or some college preferred.
• CPR Certification and First Aid Certificate required within 60 days of hire.
• Current CPR and 1st Aid Certificate within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during meals, dismissal, and transitions and ensure behavior aligns with Equitas values.
• Supervise valet and student drop-off/pick-up.
• Maintain a safe parking and valet system.
• Assist families with alternative parking solutions.
• Maintain high expectations for student behavior.
• Participate in professional development to refine school culture.
• Support school office with administrative tasks.
• Follow health, safety, and nutrition policies.
• Maintain open communication with staff, families, and stakeholders.
• Assist School Operations Manager and ELOP Manager with special projects.
• Complete other tasks assigned by leadership.

Position Description

The role of the Safety Coordinator is to contribute to a safe, supportive, and caring school community especially through the supervision of students during meals, dismissal, and transitions. Additionally, this role supports serving meals, parent communications, valet (student pick-up) and traffic supervision during After School hours.

Hours

2:00pm-6:00pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during meals, dismissal, and transitions and ensure that they are exhibiting behaviors consistent with Equitas values.
• Supervise valet (student drop off/pick-up).
• Maintain a safe and structured parking and valet system.
• Assist families and guests with alternative parking solutions.
• Maintain high expectations for student behavior.
• Actively participate in professional development aimed at refining school culture.
• Support in the school office with administrative tasks.
• Follow policies and procedures for health, safety, and nutrition.
• Maintain open lines of communication with staff, families, and other stakeholders.
• Assist School Operations Manager and ELOP Manager with special projects.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the Principal, School Operations Manager or ELOP Manager.

Salary and benefits
