Job summary

3C Industries is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator to bolster safety on a Lancaster, OH data center construction site. You will partner with field teams to enforce safety programs, assess hazards, and drive incident reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in construction safety required.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification required.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction training required.
• CHST or working toward certification encouraged.
• Experience on data center projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support site safety operations across multiple jobsites to apply company policies.
• Collaborate with Field Operations and project teams to promote safe practices.
• Regularly walk active sites to identify hazards and verify mitigations.
• Document injuries, incidents, and near misses promptly and accurately.
• Review daily safety paperwork and sign off on hazard analyses.
• Complete safety inspections and coordinate with leadership on issues.
• Maintain and organize safety training records and orientations.
• Attend safety meetings and contribute to coordination efforts.
• Keep current with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
• Assist with emergency response as needed.

Job description

We're looking for a Construction Safety Coordinator who is passionate about creating safe, productive jobsites and excited to build their career alongside experienced construction professionals. This role will support an active Data Center construction site, making Data Center and electrical construction experience a major plus.

In this role, you'll work directly with project teams to strengthen our safety culture, support compliance initiatives, and help ensure every team member goes home safely each day.

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable field experience and grow your career in construction safety. You'll work alongside experienced construction professionals, gaining exposure to the day-to-day safety practices that keep complex, fast-paced projects moving safely and successfully.

Starting Project Location: Lancaster, OH 43130
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm with Saturdays as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Support Jobsite Safety Operations: Assist in implementing and maintaining site-specific safety programs across multiple jobsites, ensuring consistent application of company policies and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with Field & Project Teams: Work alongside Field Operations, Project Management, General Contractors, and trade partners to support safe work practices and coordinate safety-related activities on site.

Monitor Jobsite Conditions: Regularly walk large, active construction sites to identify hazards, verify mitigation measures, and reinforce compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.

Assist with Incident Documentation: Support the documentation of injuries, incidents, and near misses, ensuring reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.

Verify Hazard Assessments: Review and sign daily safety paperwork to confirm proper hazard identification; job hazard analyses, and mitigation planning are in place.

Conduct Inspections & Audits: Complete routine safety inspections, audits, and observations, documenting findings and working with field leadership to address issues.

Maintain Safety Records: Assist with collecting, organizing, and maintaining safety documentation and training records following orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.

Participate in Safety Meetings: Attend and actively contribute to jobsite safety meetings, orientations, and coordination meetings as required.

Stay Current on Safety Standards: Keep up to date on OSHA regulations, industry trends, and evolving safety best practices, helping implement updates as new risks or requirements emerge.

Support Emergency Response: Assist with emergency response efforts as needed, maintaining calm and clear communication in high-pressure situations.

Physical Demands

• Navigate active construction sites, including climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding
• Work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Maintain visual and auditory awareness of site hazards (e.g., alarms, machinery)
• Stand, stoop, crouch, and walk for extended periods
• Primarily field-based on active construction sites
• Regular exposure to weather elements, loud noise, moving machinery, and airborne particles
• Must be comfortable working in high-risk and high-intensity environments
• Appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required and provided

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in safety or construction management or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in a construction safety role or equivalent field/project experience in commercial or industrial construction required
• Current First Aid / CPR certification required
• Completion of OSHA 30-hour Construction training required
• CHST or other BCSP safety credential, or actively working toward certification
• Experience working on data center projects, including Google or similar hyperscale environments preferred
