Job summary

EQT Corporation seeks a Safety Coordinator I/II/Sr to partner with Midstream teams and drive a strong safety culture across operations. You will work with contractors to ensure compliance with EHS regulations, lead investigations, and support safe, efficient work practices in field settings.

The role emphasizes regulatory knowledge, incident analysis, and proactive safety training to reduce incidents while supporting ongoing operations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety science or closely related field (ASP, GSP or CSP preferred).
• 0-7+ years of experience in safety/regulatory compliance for midstream oil & gas projects.
• Ability to deliver public speaking engagements and trainings; analyze data for reports.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and internal policies.
• Partner with Operations and contractors to identify risks and promote regulatory compliance.
• Provide field-based safety support through observations, inspections, audits, risk assessments, and emergency response activities.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in pre-job assessments, SIMOPS meetings, and safety reviews.
• Develop and deliver safety training and orientations to contractors and personnel.
• Identify strategies to reduce workplace incidents and coach teams on safe practices.
• Analyze safety performance, identify trends, and track improvements.

Position Summary – Midstream Construction - Safety Coordinator I/II/Sr

Partner with Midstream departments to proactively drive a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable employees and contractors to perform work safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and internal policies.
• Partner with Operations and contractors to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards and operational risks while promoting compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
• Provide field-based safety support through observations, inspections, audits, risk assessments, and emergency response activities appropriate to the assigned level.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in RHA’s, MOC’s, PSSR’s, pre-job assessments, and SIMOPS meetings.
• Develop and deliver safety training, orientations, and briefings to contractors and operations personnel.
• Proactively identify and implement strategies to reduce workplace incidents.
• Coach and engage contractors and operations personnel to reinforce safe work practices and correct unsafe behaviors.
• Analyze safety performance, identify trends and improvement opportunities, develop and implement corrective actions, and track safety improvements through completion.
• Build effective working relationships with Operations, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
• Provide field level safety support for Midstream Construction Operations

Required Experience and Skills:

• 0-7+ years of experience which demonstrates a thorough understanding of safety regulations, compliance issues pertaining to Midstream oil and gas projects, and 3rd party contractor management.
• Bachelor's degree in safety science or a closely related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education. (ASP, GSP or CSP) preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the oil and gas business, or related industry experience.
• Verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver public speaking engagements/trainings and analyze/summarize data for report writing.
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently, while also working well and communicating with all levels of the team.
• Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential information.
• Strong detail orientation and organizational skills for accurate record keeping.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work an on-call rotation with flexible work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Location:

• This role will primarily be field-based, with travel to locations spanning across EQT's operating area required, overnight travel may be required occasionally.

Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
