Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire a Safety Coordinator based out of our Cincinnati, OH location. This Safety Coordinator is a demanding and critical role that will specifically support our Midwest Low Voltage Technologies Group (LVTS), one of the busiest and most successful groups in the country. The responsibilities of this position include: conducting safety operation training, safety training programs, and updating and maintaining training programs to improve the safety of our LVTS operations across all product lines. This position also involves conducting routine safety visits to enforce safety policies, while identifying specific job hazards and precautions at various job site locations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate Safety Supplies Inventory
• Conduct and coordinate classroom and field training meetings as needed
• Maintain condition and operational integrity of Emergency Response equipment
• Conduct routine Job Site Safety Visits
• Investigate reportable accidents, injuries, and job damages
• Create and present monthly safety topics
• Serve as a member of Incident Investigation committees on an as-needed basis

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Prior or oriented experience in safety
• Ability to perform audits and document findings of company procedures and practices
• Effective communication skills and computer literacy with familiarity in MS Office
• Some travel required to LVTS offices in Columbus, OH, and Louisville, KY

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in safety coaching, mentoring, and training for Low Voltage Technology Solutions or Utility Telecommunications, Natural Gas, or Electric operations
• Current certifications in OSHA 500 and 510, qualified to teach OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 standards
• Certified to train MEWP (aerial work platforms)
• Knowledge of industry safety practices: NESC, DOT, PHMSA, OSHA regulations and guidelines
• Certified and trained in First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, CPR, HAZCOM, PPE, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and Smith Driving Systems

Bilingual experience is a plus
