Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire a Safety Coordinator based out of our Cincinnati, OH location. This Safety Coordinator role is demanding and critical, supporting our Midwest Low Voltage Technologies Group (LVTS), one of the busiest and most successful groups in the country. The responsibilities include:

1. Conducting safety operation training and safety training programs, updating and maintaining training to enhance safety across all product lines.
2. Performing routine safety visits to enforce policies, identify hazards, and recommend precautions at various job sites.
3. Overseeing and coordinating safety supplies inventory.
4. Conducting classroom and field training meetings as needed.
5. Maintaining emergency response equipment.
6. Investigating reportable accidents, injuries, and damages.
7. Creating and presenting monthly safety topics.
8. Serving on incident investigation committees as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience or orientation in safety.
• Ability to perform audits and document findings.
• Effective communication skills and computer literacy, especially MS Office.
• Some travel required to Columbus, OH, and Louisville, KY offices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in safety coaching, mentoring, and training in Low Voltage Technology Solutions, Utility Telecommunications, Natural Gas, or Electric operations.
• Certifications in OSHA 500 and 510, qualified to teach OSHA 10 and 30 standards.
• Certification to train MEWP (aerial work platforms).
• Knowledge of industry safety practices: NESC, DOT, PHMSA, OSHA regulations.
• Training in First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, CPR, HAZCOM, PPE, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and Smith Driving Systems.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
