Job summary

Qualifications

  • OSHA 510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction.
  • Less than 5 years of experience in a safety-related role.
  • Data Center construction experience is a plus.
  • Has experience as a site safety professional.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing Job Hazard Analyses to ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Support in safety training program delivery for employees.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of workplace, equipment and facilities.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses and help develop corrective actions.
  • Participate in safety committees and communicate safety policies.

Job description

The Site Safety Coordinator is responsible for Supporting the Crew Foreman/General Foremen in the development of Job Hazard Analyses to ensure the teams are operating in according to OSHA guidelines.

The Site Safety Coordinator focus is on delivering World Class Customer Experience and Quality. They are integral to the account team and is key in building the trusted relationship with the customer.

An entry-level Safety Professional will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining a safe working environment within our organization. They will work under the guidance of experienced safety professionals and management to develop and implement safety policies and programs. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about workplace safety and eager to grow in their career.

Responsibilities:
Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Stay up to date with relevant laws and standards and assist in the development and maintenance of safety policies and procedures.
Training and Awareness:
  • Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees.
  • Encourage safety awareness and best practices among team members.
  • Promptly investigate and report any workplace incidents, accidents, or near misses.
  • Help with the compilation of incident reports and contribute to the development of corrective actions.
Safety Inspections:
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace, equipment, and facilities.
  • Identify potential hazards and work with senior safety professionals to implement corrective measures.
Emergency Response:
  • Participate in the development of emergency response plans and drills.
  • Ensure employees are knowledgeable about emergency procedures and assist during drills or actual emergencies.
Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, safety training records, and safety-related data.
  • Generate reports for management and regulatory agencies as needed.
Safety Committees:
  • Participate in safety committees and meetings.
  • Collaborate with team members to address safety concerns and make recommendations for improvements.
Safety Communication:
  • Assist in the creation and dissemination of safety communications, such as safety bulletins, posters, and newsletters.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
  • Monitor the use of PPE and ensure its availability.
  • Assist in the selection and evaluation of appropriate PPE.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve safety processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to safety projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • OSHA #510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry
  • Less than 5 years of experience in a safety-related role.
  • Data Center construction experience is a plus.
  • Has experience as a site safety professional.
  • Electrical experience is a plus.
  • Ability to perform safety training as required.
  • Basic understanding of safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to conduct thorough inspections and investigations.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing safety practices.
  • Certifications or training in safety (e.g., First Aid/CPR) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • This position typically works in a field environment but may also require office work and exposure to various workplace environments.
  • May involve occasional travel to other company locations.
