The role emphasizes data reporting, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with Safety and Operations teams to drive continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred (related experience considered).
• 3–5 years in safety administration or analytics.
• Advanced Excel and data reporting skills.
• Proficient with safety/compliance software (Samsara/AirTable).
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety reporting systems and compliance platforms.
• Generate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc safety reports for leaders.
• Track DOT, OSHA, CSA, and internal metrics.
• Create Excel dashboards to analyze incidents and trends.
• Audit data for accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Prepare documentation for audits and reviews.
• Partner with Safety and Ops teams for improvements.
• Monitor trends and assist with risk analysis.
• Keep organized safety records and logs.
• Support Safety Manager on special projects.

Safety Coordinator

Location: Cerritos, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Hourly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to support our corporate safety team by managing safety reporting, compliance tracking, and operational analytics. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safety systems, preparing reports, supporting regulatory compliance, and providing leadership with accurate safety metrics and insights.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working with data, reporting platforms, and compliance documentation. If you enjoy creating reports, identifying trends, and helping build a safer workplace, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer safety reporting systems, including Samsara , AirTable , and other compliance platforms.
• Generate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc safety reports for leadership.
• Track DOT, OSHA, CSA, and internal safety compliance metrics.
• Create and maintain Microsoft Excel dashboards to analyze incident trends, driver behavior, and safety performance.
• Audit safety data to ensure reporting accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Prepare safety documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
• Partner with Safety and Operations teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Monitor trends and assist with proactive risk analysis.
• Maintain organized compliance records, reporting logs, and safety files.
• Support the Safety Manager with special projects and departmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
• 3-5 years of experience in safety administration, compliance reporting, fleet safety, or operational analytics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Samsara , AirTable , or similar fleet/compliance software preferred.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation practices.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily a seated office position.
• Occasional standing and walking.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Occasional travel to company facilities as needed.
