Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking a Safety Coordinator/Field Safety Representative for a refinery site on a contract-to-hire basis. The role requires strong field presence, sound judgment, and the ability to work alongside operations and maintenance personnel to uphold safe work practices in a refinery environment.

You will review and manage work permits, perform field safety audits, and participate in high-hazard activities such as confined space entry and critical lifts, ensuring compliance with site

Qualifications

• Must have refinery or petrochemical experience.
• Strong field presence with ability to communicate with operations and contractor personnel.
• Working knowledge of refinery permitting processes and high-hazard work.
• Experience with confined space entry and critical lifts preferred.
• Certifications are a plus; client will provide on-site training.
• Ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Review, issue, and manage work permits for refinery activities.
• Perform field safety audits and inspections.
• Conduct permit reviews and sign-offs for high-hazard work, including confined space entry and critical lifts.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with site safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance, and contractors to promote safe work practices.
• Participate in safety observations and provide field support as needed.

This is afield-focused positionrequiring someone witha strong presence, soundjudgment, and theconfidence to workalongside operations andmaintenance personnel ina refinery environment. The ideal candidatewill have solidrefinery experience andbe comfortablemanaging permitting andfield safety activities. While extensive safetycertifications are notrequired, the candidatemust possess astrong foundation inrefinery safety practicesand be eagerto learn theclient's processes.

Responsibilities
