Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, occupational health and safety applied sciences, civil engineering or related field.
• Prior co-op or internship experience in construction preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
• High attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Raise awareness of potential hazards on a jobsite with safety manager by reviewing risk-reduction options.
• Partner with Field Operations staff and safety team to conduct regular safety audits during projects.
• Communicate directly with subcontractors to discuss safety concerns.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with project team, subcontractors and clients.
• Assist Safety Manager with new hire safety orientations for incoming staff.
