Job summary

Ohio Gratings, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to lead our safety and training programs across the Canton site. You will develop, implement, and maintain health and safety systems aligned with our core values and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher is preferred in EHS, safety, or related field.
• Experience leading safety programs and training initiatives.
• Knowledge of applicable OSHA standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety and training policies and procedures.
• Act as a first responder to incidents on the production floor and within the facility.
• Coordinate safety programs to promote a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety interactions and training sessions with the production team.
• Develop, review, and update SOPs and JSAs.
• Inspect safety equipment and maintain documentation.
• Oversee permit processes for regulated activities such as enclosed spaces, welding, and hazardous material transport.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA and DoD regulations and ensure compliance.
• Conduct safety audits and accompany agency staff during audits.
• Identify opportunities to minimize injuries and improve safety performance.
