Job summary

Midwest Refrigerated Services, INC is seeking a Safety & Compliance Specialist to lead safety, health, and regulatory compliance across multiple facilities in the Midwest. The role partners with warehouse, office and management teams to implement SOPs and drive a culture of safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in safety management or a related field, have multi-site experience, and be proficient in food safety practices, GMP and HACCP requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field is preferred.
• Experience overseeing safety at multiple sites and in warehouse environments.
• Knowledge of food handling and HACCP/GMP guidelines is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Train staff on SOPs, food safety requirements, hazard prevention, and forklift certification.
• Investigate workplace incidents and maintain workers’ comp files and OSHA 300 logs.
• Maintain facility sanitation and oversee GMP and allergen control.
• Foster cross‑functional collaboration between warehouse, office and management; travel to facilities as needed.
