Northwestern Medicine seeks a Safety Companion to provide bedside patient monitoring during 3pm-11:30pm shifts, including holiday and weekend rotations. The role supports the RN and upholds the organization’s ethics and compliance standards.
Responsibilities include staying at the bedside, offering calming conversations, identifying hazards, and assisting with activities of daily living as delegated. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and adherence to all policies.

The Safety Companion reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Safety Companion performs continual one-on-one patient monitoring under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
