Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to champion safety culture at its Detroit area facilities. You will drive safety audits, incident investigations, and data-driven risk assessments while delivering engaging training to protect associates.

The role emphasizes advocating for safety, building relationships with frontline teams, and delivering continuous improvements. Ideal candidates will have OSHA knowledge, prior EHS experience, and proficiency with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (required).
• 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety field OR a bachelor’s degree in EHS-related background OR 6 months safety-related experience at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety audits and incident investigations.
• Drive risk assessments and safety training programs.
• Transform safety data into narratives to drive engagement.
