Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc is seeking a Safety Associate within Jefferson Health’s system in Cherry Hill, NJ. The role supports patient safety by transporting patients, accompanying them to external appointments, and reporting changes in condition to staff.

Under a licensed professional’s supervision, you provide constant observation to assigned patients and intervene when necessary to keep them safe. A High School Diploma and BLS are required; behavioral health interest is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross needed.
• Behavioral Health Sciences interest preferred.

Job Description

Safety Associates are responsible for the following:

• Transports patients to and from different areas according to patient schedules.
• Accompanies patients on outside medical appointments to ensure their safety.
• Reports observations of changes in patient’s condition/ behavior to professional staff.
• The Safety Associate works under the supervision of a licensed professional to provide constant observation of assigned patients and intervention if necessary to keep those patients safe.

• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Behavioral Health Sciences interest preferred

Salary Range $17.00 to $20.84 Hourly

The actual hiring rate will be determined based on candidate experience, skills and qualifications.

This position is not eligible for an annual incentive.

Positions posted as annual salaries reflect an estimated amount for a 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) (i.e. 40 hour equivalent), positions for less than 1.0 FTE will be prorated.
