Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Safety Assistant for the 2nd shift to support the Environmental, Health, and Safety team in Oakland, CA. The role covers documentation, safety program support, and training coordination in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with safety and ergonomic committee meetings, incident investigations, data entry for injuries, and preparing monthly training reports. Some customer service experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Basic English communication skills are required.
• MS Office proficiency, including Word and Excel, is expected.
• Some customer service experience is a plus.

This position will assist the Environmental, Health, & Safety Manager with administration with facility safety programs with established Federal, State and Local requirements .

Experience & Skills

Education

• 2-year college degree in workplace safety or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, required .
• Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
