Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Coordinator to develop monthly forecasts and support the financial plan. You will analyze demand and supply, input data into enterprise systems, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve forecast accuracy.

The role requires on-site work five days a week at the Peoria/East Peoria offices, with travel up to 5% and relocation assistance not available. A degree and S&OP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher from a college or university.
• Experience supporting an S&OP environment.
• Advanced skills with data systems such as Excel, Snowflake, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, BIC.
• Experience developing demand forecasts and analyzing variance.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create a monthly product group forecast based on changes in supply and demand.
• Provide supporting facts, data and statistics to support the forecast.
• Use enterprise tools to input and adjust shipment plans and the product group forecast.
• Adjust the shipment plan and order coverage status based on actual results.
• Perform data analysis for key performance metrics and forecast comparisons.
• Identify root causes for variance and propose improvements.
• Report results for various S&OP metrics.
• Align the product group forecast to the financial plan.
