Job summary

Merit Brass in Cleveland, OH is seeking a motivated individual for the S-Head Operator role on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday. On-the-job training is provided to help you learn and grow within the company.

You will operate S-head machines, perform setup, and help maintain safety, quality, and productivity. Prior experience helps, but is not required; dependability and willingness to learn are valued as you build a long-term career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and Windows data entry.
• Ability to read a scale/ruler up to 1/32” and basic inspection gauges.
• Excellent work habits including punctuality and attendance.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs, push/pull up to 200 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate S-head machines and perform setup as directed by supervisor.
• Follow safety policies and procedures in all tasks.
• Record quality data and inspect parts per specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance as needed each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department.
• Collaborate with team to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.
