Cottage Pet Hospital in Anaheim, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. This full-time role emphasizes anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and team development, with a competitive hourly pay and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

You will room patients, assist with procedures, monitor anesthesia, take radiographs, and mentor other staff while delivering compassionate care and client education.

Qualifications

• Current RVT license in good standing.
• Minimum 3+ years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Strong experience with anesthesia monitoring and perioperative care.
• Experience performing dental extractions.
• Proven surgical experience and patient care.
• Ability to teach and mentor team members.
• Experience managing surgical inventory.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to compassionate patient care and client education.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain thorough medical histories.
• Assist with surgical procedures and maintain efficient flow.
• Monitor anesthesia and perioperative patient care.
• Place IV catheters and draw blood.
• Run and interpret routine in-house bloodwork.
• Perform dental procedures, including extractions.
• Take radiographs and position patients properly.
• Handle and restrain patients safely.
• Educate clients on care, treatment, and follow-up.
• Manage surgery-related inventory and supplies.
• Assist with scheduling and ensure procedures stay on time.
• Support training and mentorship of other staff.
