Full Time Technical Yuba City, CA, US
2 days ago Requisition ID: 1001
Salary Range: $26.00 To $30.00 Annually
Job Description
Every team member—regardless of position—plays an essential role in advancing our mission to deliver exceptional veterinary care, foster lasting client relationships, and contribute to the continued success of the practice. Our collective goal is to attract and retain clients, including pet owners, guardians, and referral veterinary partners, in alignment with the hospital’s philosophy and the strategic objectives established by the Owners.
In California, Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) are licensed professionals who have completed an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program or met approved alternate-route requirements, and have successfully passed the state’s licensure examinations. This credential ensures that RVTs possess the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation necessary to provide advanced technical support to the veterinary team and deliver the highest standard of patient care.
The primary role of the Registered Veterinary Technician is to support veterinarians by performing all technical duties that do not require a DVM (or equivalent) license, thereby allowing doctors to focus on diagnosing, prescribing, and performing procedures that require their expertise. By managing these essential responsibilities with skill and efficiency, RVTs help increase the number of patients seen, improve the quality of client-doctor communication, and ensure a high standard of care for every patient. In doing so, RVTs contribute directly to the efficiency, reputation, and growth of the hospital while making full use of their advanced training and expertise.
