Job summary

Indie Campers is hiring a Campervan Maintenance Technician to join the Phoenix servicing team. You will ensure campervans are well-maintained and ready for rental, performing inspections, repairs, and part substitutions as needed.

The role involves hands-on repair work, coordinating with depot operations, and maintaining accurate repair records. You should be fluent in English, able to lift 10-15kg, and willing to travel for project needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on repair, fitting or service work (campervans, caravans, boats, appliances, joinery, bodywork or similar).
• Strong in at least one of interior fitting, appliance/systems repair, or exterior repairs.
• Confident with hand and power tools; able to follow a repair list.

THE ROLE

We are looking for skilled and passionate individuals who excel in craftsmanship and hands-on work to join our team. As an RFA (Campervan Maintenance Technician), you will be part of our Phoenix servicing team ; your primary responsibility is to ensure our campervans are always well-maintained and in the best possible condition.

Depending on the depot, you will also take part in rental operations. This role is critical to keeping our fleet ready for the road, enabling our customers to embark on unforgettable journeys. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

Servicing:

• Conduct systematic inspections of vehicles, and diagnose issues across interior, appliance and exterior systems.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on campervans and motorhomes, including: minor exterior parts replacement (lightbulbs, windows, side mirrors); campervan spare-parts substitution and repairs; campervan appliance troubleshooting and repairs.
• Diagnose the cause of a fault before replacing parts, and decide - and clearly communicate - when a vehicle is genuinely ready to rent.
• Own your repair list from start to finish, adjusting it as urgent jobs come in without losing track of what was set aside.
• Keep all vehicle records, repair notes and parts consumption up to date in the fleet management system, every time.
• Keep tools, equipment and the work bay clean and organised
• Keep the spare-parts inventory organised - completing stock counts, and the reception and consumption of spare parts.
• Receive and collect shipments and supplies, organise them in storage areas, and register item consumption and new orders.
• Maintain and develop relationships with external partners, and coordinate the execution of vehicle interventions with external suppliers and regional teams.

Depending on location, you will also be an active part of daily depot operations:

• Preparation of vehicles and equipment for customers
• Assist with handling incoming reservations, welcoming guests and taking care of check-ins and check-outs
• Maintain depot equipment, extras and consumables stored at the depot

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• 1+ years of hands-on repair, fitting or service work - campervans, caravans, boats, appliances, joinery, bodywork or similar. We care what you can fix, not which industry you fixed it in.
• Strong in at least one of interior fitting, appliance/systems repair, or exterior repairs - willing to learn the others.
• Confident with hand and power tools;
• Comfortable working from a repair list and adjusting your day as jobs come in.
• Fluent in working English.
• Eligible to work in North America, have a valid driving licence (category B), and feel confident enough to drive a campervan.
• Available on weekends and public holidays.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel, including the possibility of working abroad for specific periods depending on the project.
• Available for weekends and peak periods; comfortable on your feet around a depot for long periods, indoors and out, lifting 10-15kg.
