Job summary

Alpin Haus is seeking an RV Service Technician to maintain, repair, and install equipment on company and customer RVs. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer service, with a focus on a family-first culture and comprehensive training.

Starting pay is $20.00–$27.00 per hour with overtime eligibility; additional raises and a potential $10k+ annual bonus are possible after completing a training program and RVTI Level 1 Certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with HVAC, building trades, automotive or mechanical work.
• Will pursue RV1 certification within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose, and repair RVs using diagnostic tools and manufacturer instructions.
• Install equipment and accessories on RVs and test for proper function; instruct customer on use and care.
• Update work orders in the system documenting cause and correction, and repair actions.

The RV Service Technician performs maintenance, repairs, and installations on company and customer vehicles with a focus on quality, efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.

Pay

• Starts at $20.00-$27.00/hour (and higher, based on prior experience and skills/certifications), plus Overtime eligibility
• In approximately 90 days receive an additional hourly raise and become bonus incentive program eligible – Up to $10k+ annually based on individual production. Requires successful completion of Alpin Haus’ Service Technician University and achieving RV Technical Institute’s ”RVTI” Level 1 Certification. Your training, certifications & development is 100% Alpin Haus paid for!

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, some weekend work (Saturdays, closed Sunday) may be required and/or made available to earn extra pay incentives.

Outcomes

• Receive job priorities from Service Advisor or Foreman
• Test, diagnose, and make repairs to RVs using diagnostic tools, and according to manufacturer’s instructions and mechanical knowledge and skills
• Install equipment and accessories onto RVs and test for proper function; provide instructions to the customer on proper use and care
• Review and update work orders using the computer system to document cause and correction, and diagnosis/repair action steps performed
• Safely transport vehicles to and from repair areas
• Assist the parts and warranty teams by expeditiously providing required information to quote/source parts and submit warranty claims
• Perform live demonstration of RV system functionality for new/used RVs sold
• Perform light indoor shop maintenance
• Perform housekeeping in the service shop, such as sweeping and general cleaning, throughout the workday
• Record and report description of any external damage discovered to vehicles

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• HVAC, building trades, automotive or mechanical experience
• Possesses, or able to procure, RV1 certification within first year of employment

• Ability to read technical diagrams or blueprints
• Customer friendly, observant and well organized
• Ability to work in a collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in following verbal and written guidelines to perform job functions

Physical and Environmental Conditions

• Talking and hearing, walking and sitting, using hands to grasp, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching with arms/hands, are required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently, to move objects
• Exposure to some inside and outside adverse environmental conditions, such as fumes, dust, oils and lubricating fluids, mechanical moving parts, moving vehicles, fluctuating weather conditions, and occasional hazardous chemicals or materials
