Streamside Parks is seeking a hands-on RV Service & Repair Technician for Freedom Trails who diagnoses, repairs, and maintains recreational vehicles to ensure safe operations and guest satisfaction. Qualifications

  • 2+ years of RV service, repair, maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of RV electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read service manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair RV service issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect and repair 12V DC and 120V AC electrical systems as trained.
  • Repair plumbing, pumps, fixtures, and holding tanks.
  • Service refrigerators, water heaters, furnaces, and AC units when authorized.
  • Inspect roofs, seams, windows, and water intrusion areas.
  • Complete work orders with diagnosis, labor, and parts used.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a hands-on RV Service & Repair Technician for Freedom Trails. This role diagnoses, repairs, and maintains recreational vehicles and related systems to ensure safe, reliable operation and strong guest service. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, experienced with RV systems, and confident troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, appliance, HVAC, and structural issues. The position requires physical, hands-on work and flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and on-call support as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot RV service and repair issues accurately and efficiently
  • Inspect and repair 12-volt DC and 120-volt AC electrical systems within the scope of training, certification, and applicable requirements
  • Repair RV plumbing systems, including pumps, fixtures, supply lines, drains, and holding tanks
  • Diagnose and service refrigerators, water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, and ventilation equipment when trained and authorized
  • Inspect and repair roofs, seams, seals, windows, doors, exterior components, and areas affected by water intrusion
  • Service slide-outs, awnings, leveling systems, steps, jacks, and other common RV components and accessories
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine safety inspections
  • Complete work orders and document diagnosis, repairs, labor, and parts used
  • Use diagnostic equipment, meters, hand tools, and power tools safely and properly
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, parts needs, and service status clearly with the Park Manager, service lead, and guests or customers as appropriate
  • Maintain organized tools, equipment, parts, supplies, and service work areas
  • Assist with parts identification, ordering, inventory tracking, and coordination with vendors, manufacturers, or warranty providers as directed
  • Follow required safety procedures, PPE, SDS guidance, manufacturer instructions, and applicable local and state requirements; escalat(e) specialized or licensed work as required
  • Deliver a high level of guest and customer service and support an “all hands on deck” environment when needed
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 2+ years of RV service, repair, maintenance, or related mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of common RV systems, including 12-volt DC and 120-volt AC electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and exterior systems
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and meters and read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer instructions
  • RV Technical Institute (RVTI), RVDA/RVIA, LP Gas, or other relevant certifications are a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and regularly stand, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and work in tight spaces
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Strong communication and customer service skills; reliable, organized, safety-minded, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Additional Notes:

Must follow all applicable safety standards, manufacturer procedures, and local/state regulations. Work involving regulated propane, electrical, or other licensed systems must be performed only by appropriately trained, certified, or licensed personnel.
