Job summary

Olathe Ford Family is seeking a qualified RV chassis technician to join our service team. This on-site role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining RV chassis systems, including engine, electrical, HVAC, and steering components.

You will test-drive vehicles, communicate required services to the Service Advisor, and provide repair estimates. The position includes Saturdays rotation and opportunities for on-the-job training in a growth-focused shop.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience is a plus.
• A-level qualifications including diagnostic, electrical, HVAC, and engine repair.
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies.
• Excellent customer service skills and a team mindset.
• Basic computer skills and a positive, friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair RV systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of needed services.
• Provide estimates of repairs to the service advisor.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Collaborate with team and adapt to daily challenges.
• Full-time position with rotation on Saturdays.
• Alignments on trailers and coaches.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair RV systems including but not limited to engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of repairs needed to the service advisor
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Team mindset with ability to adapt and overcome situations daily
• Full-time position with rotation on Saturdays
• Alignments on trailers and coaches

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience a plus
• A-level qualifications including diagnostic, electrical, HVAC, and engine repair
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
