Qualifications

• Significant experience building scalable distributed systems in Rust.
• Hands-on work across the Ethereum stack, including the EVM and Execution Layer.
• Familiar with reth and consensus mechanisms.

Tempo is a layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoins and real-world payments, born from Stripe's experience in global payments and Paradigm's expertise in crypto tech.

Tempo's payment-first design provides a scalable, low-cost predictable backbone that meets the needs of high-volume payment use cases. Our goal is to move money reliably, cheaply, and at scale. Responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship complex features, indexing on performance and benchmarking

• Own development throughout the entire lifecycle, with a focus on deep collaboration, quick iteration cycles and incorporating stakeholder feedback

Qualifications

• Significant experience building scalable, distributed systems in Rust

• Deep familiarity with the Ethereum ecosystem, particularly the EVM and Execution Layer, as well as reth and consensus mechanisms; hands-on experience working across the entire Ethereum stack is ideal

• Self-motivated and independent, and excited by ambiguity and opportunities to develop concrete solutions to nebulous problems

• Collaborative and an exceptional communicator
