Job summary

CTC Group is seeking cleared Russian Linguists to support mission-focused language assignments across technical, military, cyber, science and technology domains. Roles cover translation, interpretation, and quality control in English-Russian material and require strong subject-matter knowledge and reliability.

Candidates will work in CONUS Washington Metropolitan Area plus TDY as needed, typically in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree desired.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent translation and/or interpretation experience.
• ICA Testing: TA 4 in Russian; SLR 5/5/5 in Russian.
• Experience with translation into English, translation into Russian, and interpretation.
• Excellent English-language skills and the ability to produce precise translations.
• Desirable editing, quality control, summarizing, targeting, workflow support; subject-matter experience in counter-proliferation, cyber, geospatial, military, regional politics and science/tech.
• Professional association membership such as ATA, AIIC, TAALS, NAJIT, IAPTI or similar is desired.

Responsibilities

• Translate materials from English into Russian as required.
• Perform oral interpretation on technical and mission-related topics.
• Perform long and complex technical translations involving military, cyber, science and technology terminology.
• Support summarization/gisting, editing, quality control, targeting, workflow, and related services.
• Apply strong knowledge of Russian language, culture, terminology, regional politics, and current events.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced mission environment requiring flexibility, accuracy, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Be willing to work throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area and support TDY requirements when assigned.

This role is ideal for experienced professional linguists who can provide high-quality translation and interpretation of complex Russian-language materials across technical, military, cyber, science and technology, and regional subject areas. Locations: CONUS-Washington Metropolitan Area, CONUS Other, and potential OCONUS TDY locations.

• Translate Russian-language materials into precise, idiomatic English with strong attention to detail and quality.
• Translate materials from English into Russian as required.
• Perform oral interpretation on a variety of technical and mission-related topics.
• Perform long and complex technical translations involving military, cyber, science and technology, and related terminology.
• Support summarization/gisting, editing, quality control, targeting, workflow, and other translation-related services as required.
• Apply strong knowledge of Russian language, culture, terminology, regional politics, and current events.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced mission environment requiring flexibility, accuracy, professionalism, and teamwork.

• ICA Testing Requirements:
  • Translation Assessment (TA): 4 in Russian.
  • Speaking, Listening, and Reading (SLR): 5/5/5 in Russian.
• Experience with translation into English, translation into Russian, and interpretation.
• Excellent English-language skills and the ability to produce precise, professional English translations.
• Desired experience with editing, quality control, summarizing/gisting, HLT, targeting, translation-related services, and workflow support.
• Desired subject matter experience includes counter-proliferation, counterterrorism, cyber, geospatial, linguistics, military, regional politics, and science and technology.
• Professional association membership such as ATA, AIIC, TAALS, NAJIT, IAPTI, or similar is desired.

Pay Information

The final salary may be influenced by various factors, such as location, labor categories, experience, education, and/or certifications. CTC also provides a variety of benefits as well as opportunities for continuous education and development.

The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000 - $210,000.
