Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Rural Engagement Team Manager (Manager V) in Austin, TX. The role leads the Rural Hospital Finance programs, oversees the Rural Hospital Officers Academy, and coordinates data analysis, policy development, and stakeholder outreach to rural hospitals.

The position requires proven leadership, project management, and the ability to work across HHSC divisions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Public Policy/Affairs, Health Care, Economics, or related subject.
• Two years of experience in finance, budget management, reimbursement, revenue cycle operations, cost reporting, financial analysis, hospital finance, or related financial operations.
• Minimum of two years of full-time experience managing or supervising 4 or more employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervises stakeholder assistance to rural hospitals and manages staff involved in data analysis and program administration.
• Plans and oversees Rural Hospital Officers Academy, advisory committees, and data unit activities to support RHF programs.
• Develops and implements policies, guidelines, and communication plans, ensuring timely, accurate stakeholder information and high-quality reports.
