Job summary

Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, Washington seeks a General Surgeon to join Olympic Medical Physicians’ General Surgery Clinics. Join a rural practice with lifestyle advantages and strong support staff.

The successful candidate will evaluate, diagnose and treat general surgical problems, provide consultation and care to patients, and work within a multi-disciplinary team. On-call is limited to 1-in-4, with hospitalist support and an EPIC-based EMR.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited school and completion of an ACGME approved General Surgery residency.
• Board-certified or eligible by the American Board of Surgery.
• Current unrestricted license to practice in Washington; DEA registration; ACLS; ATLS recommended.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with general surgical problems.
• Provide surgical consultation and perioperative care for rural patient population.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, with strong RN/MA support.
• Share on-call responsibilities, up to 1-in-4, with hospitalist coordination.
