Job summary

Adventist Health Kern County Network in Bakersfield, Delano, and Tehachapi seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon to join its busy Acute Care Surgery team. Responsibilities include emergency on-call duties, in-clinic follow-ups, and rural community care.

California license or eligibility is required, with credentialing standards to be met. Compensation ranges from $440,000 to $500,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits and CME/loan repayment options.

Qualifications

• California licensed or eligible and meet hospital credentialing standards.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon required.
• Experience in acute care/general surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call emergency general surgery consults and operative care.
• Conduct in-clinic visits for post-operative follow-ups and new patients in Delano/Tehachapi.
• Coordinate care with a multi-hospital network to ensure continuity of care.
• Support rural communities with general surgical services and safety standards.
