Job summary

SEARHC in Wrangell, Alaska is seeking a Family Medicine physician to join a rural, community-based practice attached to Wrangell Medical Center. The role offers autonomy, strong clinical support, and a patient‑centered, team‑oriented work environment.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with no on‑call responsibilities. Compensation includes incentives, relocation, sign‑on, CME allowance, and a generous retirement plan as part of an array of benefits.

Qualifications

• New graduates encouraged to apply.
• MD or DO with an Alaska medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine.
• Active DEA registration.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care including diagnosis, treatment, minor procedures, coordination of care, referral, preventive care, and health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services per SEARHC policy.
• Provide optimal patient experience with strong listening and communication skills.
• Participate in SEARHC quality improvement initiatives and clinic meetings.
• May be directed to provide services outside the clinic to meet patient needs.
