A leading critical access hospital in Thief River Falls, Minnesota is seeking a board‑certified emergency medicine physician for a full‑time opportunity that combines hands‑on clinical practice with meaningful leadership responsibilities. The hospital, a 25‑bed critical access facility spanning 136,000 square feet, serves a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) and partners with more than ten local specialties and a major regional medical center.

Community highlights: Thief River Falls hosts approximately 8,600 residents, offers retail amenities, outdoor recreation, and is home to a local technical college. It is just an hour from Grand Forks, North Dakota, home to the University of North Dakota School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

The physician will oversee emergency and trauma services with a blend of approximately 15% administrative work and 85% clinical care.

• 8‑hour to 12‑hour shifts, 12 to 14 shifts per month
• Evaluate and review medical staff performance
• Assess emergency department efficiency
• Drive ongoing quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Board‑certified emergency medicine physician (BE/BC). Experience with leadership in a critical access or rural setting preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
