Job summary

First Baptist Church Blessing in Blessing, TX is seeking a bi-vocational Senior Pastor to lead our small rural congregation (≈35 active members) in the path God has for us. Total compensation is $30,000 per year.

The ideal candidate will teach carefully, oversee church administration, and minister to both the church body and the wider community. A full-time pastoral position may follow as the church grows.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be dedicated to studying and teaching the inerrant and infallible Word of God.
• Honest and Trustworthy
• Faithful and Steadfast
• Uncompromising on the truth and infallible word of God
• Living out the requirements as described in 1st Tim 3 and Titus 1

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver sermons Sunday mornings and evening service.
• Oversee Wednesday night prayer meetings, must be available to attend the church business meeting on the first Wednesday of every month.
• Working with the church body, oversee the day to day administrative workings of the Church.
• Perform Pastoral duties, ie: Marriage, funerals etc., in accordance with the church bylaws.
• The lead Pastor, following the word of God, should have a desire, vision, and ability to reach our local community and schools.
