Job summary

The Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Hooper Bay is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care through the nursing process, collaborate with a wide range of health professionals, and support care across the lifespan in a rural Alaskan setting.

The role requires Alaska RN license, NLN-approved nursing program, BLS, and flexibility to work a 40-hour week; mentorship, and ongoing competencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Must have completed a program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution.
• Minimum Experience: Preferred one year experience in health care setting as a Registered Nurse.
• License, Certification, Registration: Must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS.
• Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Proficient oral and written communication; nursing process; across continuum of care; flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients per standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality care and best outcomes.
• Supervise unit secretaries and PCTs in collaboration with the Charge Nurse.
