Job summary

Garmin is seeking a Runway Desk Support Specialist at our Scottsdale, AZ location. You will collect and analyze aeronautical data, monitor NOTAMs, and maintain a world-wide airport database for real-time aircraft performance calculations.

The role requires aviation knowledge, a strong NOTAM background, and the ability to work a 4/10 schedule Sunday to Wednesday 4am–2pm, with after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business, or a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Aviation background with strong NOTAM understanding.
• Proficiency with PC applications and Windows OS; ability to learn new software quickly.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with proactive work style and minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to overtime, holidays, weekends, shift work, and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze NOTAMs for airports in the runway database.
• Maintain currency of the runway database using NOTAMs, AIPs, and other data.
• Provide data to pilots through NOTAM and aircraft performance systems.
• Support after-hours responses and participate in customer teleconferences.
• Collaborate with Garmin teams to resolve challenges and escalate as needed.
• Ensure data integrity and safety of flight through quality standards.
