Job summary

Compass Group USA’s Levy division is seeking a Premium Runner to deliver food and beverage to suites and in-seat guests during events in Oceanside. You will support event setup, service, and breakdown, uphold sanitation standards, and help ensure a premium guest experience.

You must move quickly and accurately, manage multiple runs, and communicate substitutions or delays. Training will cover POS/ticket systems; you will learn menu details, maintain presentation, and adapt to changing event

Qualifications

• Service-oriented with excellent communication and teamwork.
• Strong time management in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with POS/ticket systems; training provided.
• Must obtain Food Handler Card (CA) and California RBS permit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverage to suites and in-seat guests with urgency and accuracy.
• Verify order contents against BEOs/POS tickets; communicate substitutions or delays.
• Maintain product integrity and follow food safety/sanitation guidelines.
• Set up/breakdown of suite, pantry, and service areas per standards and timelines.
• Maintain clean, organized back-of-house areas; manage trash/compost/recycling as assigned.
• Restock during service and post-event; report variances.

Position Summary

The Premium Runner is responsible for timely, accurate delivery of food and beverage from the kitchen/pantry to assigned suites and in-seat guests. This role supports event set-up, service, and breakdown, maintains sanitation standards, and helps ensure an exceptional premium guest experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Pick up food and beverage from kitchen/pantry and deliver to suites and in-seat guests with urgency and accuracy.
• Verify order contents against BEOs/POS tickets; communicate substitutions or delays to suite server/host.
• Maintain product integrity (temps, garnishes, presentation) and follow food safety/sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Execute suite, pantry, and service area set-up/breakdown per standards and within timelines.
• Maintain clean, organized prep, service, and back-of-house areas; manage trash/compost/recycling as assigned.
• Replenish disposables, condiments, ice, and smallwares; restock during service and post-event.
• Complete post-event inventories, transfers, and basic product counts; report variances.
• Operate and care for equipment properly (carts, warmers, hot boxes, ice wells, radios).
• Follow responsible alcohol service policies; elevate concerns to leadership.
• Adhere to appearance/uniform standards; act with professionalism and a strong sense of urgency.
• Provide proactive support to teammates and assist with other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Service-oriented with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong time management; able to prioritize multiple runs in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of menu items and ingredients; willing to learn rotating/seasonal offerings.
• Comfort with basic technology (radios, tablets) and familiarity with POS/ticket systems (training provided).
• Attention to detail for counts, labels, temperatures, and presentation standards.
• Ability to adapt to changing event needs and guest requests professionally.

Licenses/Certifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Food Handler Card (CA).
• Must possess or be able to obtain California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) permit.

Physical & Schedule Requirements

• Stand/walk for extended periods (6–10 hours); frequent pushing/pulling carts and climbing stairs/elevators.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs frequently; push/pull up to 100 lbs on wheeled carts with assistance.
• Work all event days as scheduled, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Preferred Experience

• Prior hospitality/restaurant, catering, stadium/arena, runner, expediter, or barback experience.
• Basic inventory/stocking experience a plus.
