Sally’s Apizza, renowned for its New Haven Style Apizza since 1938, is expanding locations and corporate team nationwide. We hand-craft authentic pizza in custom-designed ovens, using the original recipes.

This role supports delivering a remarkable guest experience and helps maintain a clean, efficient dining floor with great teamwork. As a Food Runner/Busser, you’ll move food promptly, assist in seating and clearing, and uphold Sally’s Steps of Service.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills are required to provide exceptional guest experiences.
• Experience running/bussing is a plus and helps support floor operations.
• Attention to detail ensures accurate seating, clearing, and table maintenance.
• Excellent oral communication helps convey orders and guest needs clearly.
• Integrity ensures adherence to policies and brand standards.
• Organizational awareness supports efficient flow and safety in busy dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service at all times by following Sally’s Steps of Service.
• Pull and arrange tables and chairs for guests as needed.
• Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset throughout service.
• Ensure plated food and pies leave the kitchen quickly.
• Carefully match food items to the correct orders.
• Greet each table and serve, using the correct seat positions on the ticket.
• Maintain attention to the flow of traffic in all dining areas.
• Perform ongoing cleaning of workstations.
• Perform opening/closing duties.
• Perform restroom checks throughout service.
• Support FOH in other duties as needed.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Stay focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Complete any and all side work assigned in a timely manner.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.

DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Food Runner/Busser, (Floor Support) you will provide an amazing dining experience for our guests by delivering food in a prompt and professional manner.

ROLE COMPETENCIES

• Basic Spanish (preferred but not required)

Experience

• Strong customer service skills


• Prior Running/ Bussing experience is a plus
