Job summary

DuPont is seeking a Run Plant Engineer to support the Buffalo, NY manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations while helping deliver high-quality products to customers around the world.

You will work alongside Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production teams, applying engineering expertise to optimize plant performance and solve complex operational challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 0–5 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Lean Six Sigma training or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned manufacturing units and drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
  • Coaching and challenging others to improve safety and operational effectiveness.
  • Apply continuous improvement, value creation, and financial acumen to improve profitability.
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and management systems to optimize plant performance.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production teams to optimize schedules.
  • Respond with urgency to plant issues and emergencies, serving as a technical leader.
