Job summary

ACE Partners in Orlando, FL seeks a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to lead the electronic hardware development for ruggedized graphics and embedded systems.

You will own schematic capture and multilayer PCB layout, work with Altium/OrCAD/Cadence, and perform SI/PI analyses while contributing to FPGA/GPU platform decisions. A strong emphasis on production ownership and mentorship is required.

Qualifications

  • Lead hardware design for ruggedized graphics and embedded systems.
  • Ownership from concept through production.
  • Experience with high-speed digital, analog and mixed-signal circuits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design of electronic hardware for ruggedized graphics and embedded systems; own schematic capture and multilayer PCB layout (Altium, OrCAD) with a focus on high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal design
  • Perform circuit-level analysis, signal integrity simulations, and power integrity validation; contribute to hardware platform decisions involving microcontrollers, FPGAs, and GPUs
  • Drive bring-up and validation of hardware prototypes, including environmental/compliance testing (MIL-STD-810, DO-160)
  • 5+ years of hardware design experience, ideally in ruggedized or mission-critical systems, with genuine concept-to-sustainment ownership
  • Proficiency with EDA tools (Altium, OrCAD, Cadence) and lab instrumentation for board bring-up and debug
  • Competitive salary ($130K–$150K)
  • True end-to-end hardware ownership, not single-phase handoffs
