Job summary

Sperry & Rice in Ohio is seeking a Rubber Millroom Production Operator to join a hands-on manufacturing team. The role involves operating Millroom equipment, following batch instructions, and ensuring quality and safety in every mix.

You will rotate through Banbury, Warm Up Mill, and Slab Off Mill areas, maintain clean work spaces, complete production reports, and support inventory processes as needed. Training and career advancement are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to read blueprints and measure with a tape.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to work overtime as required.
• Stand for 8 hours with good stamina.
• Must follow all safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate Millroom equipment and controls safely.
• Complete daily production reporting.
• Read and follow mixing instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Rotate duties across Millroom areas (Banbury, Warm Up, Slab Off).
• Adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Assist with inventory as required.
• Support quality checks and batch accuracy.
