Job summary

Landmark Snacks in Beatrice, NE is hiring for a full-time packaging associate in our Ready-To-Eat area. You will handle cooked meat snacks and place packages into boxes, ensuring accuracy and quality as part of the production line.

The role requires reading and following instructions in English or Spanish, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to stand for long shifts. Day shift with hourly compensation of $19.50–$23.00.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English or Spanish.
• Ability to be at work regularly and on time.
• Stand on hard surfaces for 10 hours.
• Sufficient written communication and reading skills.
• Ability to operate or to quickly learn equipment.
• Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to assess products for quality compliance.

Overview:

At Landmark Snacks, the packaging team members work in our Ready-To-Eat (RTE) area. In this area, you would be directly handling cooked meat snacks into their final packages.

• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Load and unload items from machines or conveyors
• Perform physically demanding work that requires good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and stamina
• Place individual packages into boxes for final packaging
• Use and move finished goods and materials with a pallet jack for further production packing or processing
• Strictly adhere to client specifications and ensure good quality work

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Noise level is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area – earplugs are required
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the shift, using repetitive motion
• Must be able occasionally lift, push, pull and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds across the plant for various needs
• Spends time in cold environments
• Must have good hand/eye coordination
