Job summary

Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts – Central Campus in Rochdale, MA is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide care for patients with respiratory illnesses and post-acute needs. You will set up and operate respiratory equipment, follow department policies, and help ensure safety and quality of care.

Requirements include graduation from a Respiratory Therapy program, current RT license in the state, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and at least 1 year in critical care preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program required.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified.
• Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
• ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.
• One (1) year critical care and/or artificial airway and ventilator care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the department's policy/procedure manual.
• Perform support activities such as equipment maintenance, changes, inventory.
• Set up and operate various respiratory care equipment for diagnosis/treatment.

Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts - Central Campus, located in Rochdale, MA is a 47 bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. Performs support activities such as equipment maintenance, changes, inventory, and sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.

• Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program required.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified
• Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
