Job Title: Radiologic Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Tasks and Responsibilities:

As a Radiologic Technologist specializing in the Cardiac Cath Lab, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare facility's cardiovascular team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Cardiac Imaging: Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using specialized equipment to visualize and assess the cardiovascular system.
  • Assist Cardiologists: Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals during cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot radiologic equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks to patients and staff.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including procedure notes and imaging files.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

Certification: Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).

  • Experience: Prior experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in operating radiologic equipment and relevant software.

Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Certification Requirements:

Candidates must hold a valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

State License Requirements:

Applicants must possess a valid state license as a Radiologic Technologist, as required by the state in which they will be practicing.

Additional License Requirements:

ARRT-CV or ARRT-RT
