Job summary

PROtect LLC in Louisiana is seeking experienced RT Technicians to conduct NDT inspections of structures, pipelines and components using x-ray, ultrasound or related equipment.

You will expand NDT qualifications toward CR certification, receive ongoing training, and have opportunities for career advancement within the NDT industry.

Candidates must meet certification requirements and be prepared for a demanding schedule, safety-focused work, and long travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Insurability through PROtect, LLC insurance carrier.
• Certification in RT, UTT, MT or PT is required or preferred depending on role.
• CR certification not required but encouraged for expansion of NDT qualifications.
• TWIC card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct non-destructive testing of components and materials per codes, standards, and procedures.
• Utilize appropriate NDT methods such as gamma radiography, x-ray radiography, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, leak testing and visual inspections.
• Select, prepare, load, calibrate, or operate NDT equipment.
• Identify defects in materials using suitable testing techniques.
• Complete documentation and work orders per established protocols and timelines.
• Drive company vehicles and maintain safe driving record.
• Provide instruction to assigned assistants and ensure safety of the team.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of vehicles and work areas.
