Job summary

NDT.org is seeking a RT Level II Tech in North Salt Lake, Utah, for full-time work at an on-site facility. The role involves calibration of nondestructive testing equipment, performing defect inspections, and interpreting radiographs and diagnostic readouts.

You will document findings and help ensure safety and quality standards are met. Requirements include a High School Diploma (Some college preferred) and a Certified Level II RT, plus related NDT certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have strong understanding of NDT methods and procedures.
• Ability to interpret inspection results and records.
• Experience with safety regulations in testing environments.
• Experience writing inspection reports and documenting results.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Establish techniques for proper examination with safety compliance.
• Apply testing criteria per specifications and evaluate results.
• Interpret radiographs, CRT, digital readouts, and other indicators.
• Organize and report test results.

RT Level II Tech - North Salt Lake, Utah

Length:Full time

Pay:Based on experience and certifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment


• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection


• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations


• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results


• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators


• Organize and report test results


• Perform specialized inspections


• May instruct and supervise others


• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Some college preferred


• Certified Level II RT


• Additional certifications in MT/PT/UT/UTT/VT/DR/CR any combination preferred


• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures


• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections


• Knowledge of NDT equipment


• Experience in report writing


• IRRSP card


• TWIC card preferred


• 40RAD (40 Hour Radiation Safety Training)


• State Card/Industrial Radiographer State Card (trainer status a plus)
